About the Producer

This coffee is directly sourced from the farm of Felix Alberto Morantes, a producer dedicated to quality and sustainability in Colombia’s famed Popayán coffee region. Popayán, located in the department of Cauca, sits at an ideal elevation with fertile volcanic soil and consistent climate—perfect conditions for growing high-quality Arabica.

By sourcing directly, we’re not just cutting out middlemen—we’re building a long-term relationship with farmers like Felix Alberto, ensuring better traceability, quality control, and fairer pay at origin.

Processing Method

This coffee is washed, one of the most traditional and refined post-harvest processes used in Colombia.

How It Works:

Only fully ripe cherries are picked by hand.
The skin and fruit layer are removed using mechanical pulpers.
The beans are left to ferment for 12–24 hours to loosen any remaining mucilage.
The beans are washed in fresh water and dried in the sun on raised beds or patios.
