A Coffee With a Story Worth Telling

Peru Sequiapampa comes from a small hamlet of the same name in the Lonya Grande district, high in the Peruvian Amazon. It's home to the founding members of the Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera Valle Alto a group of young coffee farmers who came together knowing that collective strength, not individual effort, is what gets them fair prices and access to better markets.

Roasted light-to-medium to protect its natural, delicate character, this is a bright, silky cup with layers of toasted nut and a soft citrus lift.

Flavour Profile

  • Citrus Zest — Bright and fresh, balancing the nuttier notes.
  • Toasted Walnut & Almond — A warm, layered base with a lightly roasted-bread quality.
  • Brown Sugar & Grains — Rounds out the cup without tipping into heaviness.
  • Silky, Round Body — Smooth with a mild, fresh acidity for balance.

About the Growers

Sequiapampa sits in the Lonya Grande district of Utcubamba province, deep in the Peruvian Amazon. It's the base for the founding members of the Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera Valle Alto farmers who chose to organise as a cooperative because working alone limits what price and market access any one grower can reach. Together, they've been able to plug into programmes focused on quality and innovation that wouldn't be open to them individually.

The group is currently working on a project to bring higher-quality cup varieties — bourbon, caturra, castillo, geisha — into wider production across the region.

This light-to-medium roast is built for filter brewing, where its delicate, layered character comes through best.

  • Pour-Over (V60) — Our top pick. Highlights the citrus zest and silky body with real clarity.
  • French Press — Full immersion brings out the walnut and brown sugar notes for a richer, rounder cup.

Why You'll Love It

  • Bright and Balanced — Citrus zest against a nutty, sweet base.
  • Silky, Round Body — Smooth without being heavy.
  • Supporting a Cooperative, Not Just a Crop — Buying this backs collective bargaining power for a group of young Peruvian farmers, not a single supply chain link.
